Eminem has always been such a unique stand-out person—he gave one Michigan teen a wish come true before he passed away. Gage Garmo had Osteosarcoma, it’s a rare bone cancer. Gage Garmo had been fighting cancer the whole time he attended high-school. And it was recently when Gage received the news that he would only have one week to live—and the 17-year-old from Michigan made one wish, to meet Eminem.
That’s so touching that Eminem could be such a positive and touching influence in his life. And sometimes the only place comfort his found is through the work of artists like Eminem. Great job for producing honest, blunt priceless art.
The YBF has reported that Gage’s friends joined together on Twitter and Instagram with hash-tags in order to riase some awareness to get Eminem’s attention. Shortly after, a Michigan organization known as Rainbow Connection(they work to grant wishes for children with life-threatening illnesses), got in contact with Eminems managers, telling him Gage’s heart-warming story.
The amazing day happened on Jan 11, 2014—Eminem went to Michigan and visited Gage at home. They spent some time talking about music, football and just chilling.
Sadly, on Jan 12, 2014 Gage passed away. We send our condolences to the family and send our many thanks to Eminem for being such an amazing soul. If there were more people like you man—this world would be a better place.
