Selena Gomez is one amazing person, not because she’s considered a celebrity either—we want to look past the lime-light and focus on who she truly is—loving, appreciative and hard-working. Ah, and it all started out with Barney in 2001—where Sel played Gianna for about two years, before moving on to her next big audition. The auditions came but she didn’t get every-role, yet she remained humble. It was in 2006 when Selena Gomez got a role in the television series “The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.” The show was pretty popular among those children that loved Disney Channel.
I know I sure watched Disney Channel a lot when I was younger—oh, who am I kidding I still watch Disney Channel. Then Selena got other roles in Hannah Montana, Wizards of Waverly Place and then moved on toward movies like Another Cinderella Story(which I must say was an excellent film, the cast and crew did a great job capturing the idea onto the big screen). And even though Selena Gomez has been focusing a lot on her career, she also likes to dedicate some time to charity.
Selena Gomez has done some pretty unique charity events like the one for UNICEF, where best friend Taylor Swift and Sel choreographed a whole dance routine to “Trouble,” by t-dawg. They did the dance at the UNICEF charity concert and made a lot of people smile, dance and laugh. (The best things in life are free). And did you know that she was the youngest UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador? And she’s also traveled to Congo in order to help with the ENOUGH Project. I’m sure it was really hard for Selena to witness the hardships that Congolese people are dealing with on a day to day basis because of war and poverty.
The Enough Project mission is quite clear, stating:
“The Enough Project works to end genocide and crimes against humanity, focused on areas where some of the world’s worst atrocities occur. We get the facts on the ground, use rigorous analysis to determine the most sustainable solutions, influence political leaders to adopt our proposals, and mobilize the American public to demand change,” what a wonderful project to be a part of, don’t you agree? I mean, we hear about all these crimes on the News but I think we are so drowned into our own lives, we forget to see what we have, we take for granted—other’s would love to have a simple tooth brush, set of shoes or pillow.
Selena Gomez is busy but she finds time to take part in Charity events because of the love she has inside her heart. I mean, check out the list of other charities she has taken a part of, they are amazing.
