Ariana Grande Stands Up For A Healthier America.
Ariana Grande is woman that stays true to her values and that includes having a healthy lifestyle. Ariana Grande loves America but she doesn’t agree with the way Americans settle for less when it comes to healthy eating. Grande and her friend Ricky Alvarez were checking out at Wolfee’s Donut shop. Unfortunately, the shop is claiming Grande made statements about “hating America,” but if they would have heard context of the conversation this wouldn’t be a big issue. Ariana was simply stating she doesn’t like the way that Americans treat their bodies and that being healthy is important.
Donut shops are temptations and lezzzzz just be honest here, DONUTS ARE NOT GOOD FOR YOU, PERIOD. According to LIVESTRONG, donuts cause, weight gain, heart problems, high blood sugar and they lack all healthy nutrients that your body NEEDS! And even SFGATE has a comment for those of you thinking about having that morning breakfast donut and coffee, saying:
“You’re about ready to dunk your donut into a cup of hot, steaming coffee, but, cue the scary music: Don’t do it. Donuts are loaded with sugar and trans fat, which aren’t good for your heart or your waistline. The fried confections don’t supply an impressive amount of key vitamins and minerals either. While the occasional donut isn’t likely to hurt you, regularly making them part of your diet might.”
And a lot of people abuse what they love, hell, even I give in every now and again but not everybody knows when it’s time to say “no more.”
So, Wolfee’s I have one comment, grow up. Grande doesn’t want to see her family, friends and fans end up sick and in a hospital bed wishing they had better health. The fact is America does need to look at the things we are putting into our bodies and I’m proud of Ariana because she isn’t afraid to make a statement and speak her mind, when you bottle things inside, it also becomes healthy. And the backlash for the video is not consistent with the big picture. Sadly, Ariana is pretty used to the media negatively attacking talent in the limelight but she wasn’t afraid to stand up for herself, stating:
“I am EXTREMELY proud to be an American and I’ve always made it clear that I love my country. What I said in a private moment with my friend, who was buying the donuts, was taken out of context and I am sorry for not using more discretion with my choice of words,”Ariana said in a statement. “As an advocate for healthy eating, food is very important to me and I sometimes get upset by how freely we as Americans eat and consume things without giving any thought to the consequences that it has on our health and society as a whole.”
And I couldn’t have said it better myself. America is amazing but the choices that people make aren’t always the best choices in life. Why should a private moment be turned into complete hatred, that’s unacceptable behavior, especially because it was all said with the love she has in heart. A-dawg, you did the right thing and even I feel the same. There was a point in my own life where my food decisions were affecting my health. I’m glad that you stand as a positive example to your family, friends and fans. I am proud of you, keep up the great work girl.
Who doesn’t want a healthier America?
