Could there be a 50% chance of a FRIENDS reboot?
What are the chances that FRIENDS the television series that will go down in history as one of the best sitcoms to air, will have a reboot? Well, according to Matthew Perry, it’s not that high. I remember the first time I watched friends, I was instantly amused, laughing and taken away from my daily stresses. And when I heard what Matthew Perry stated in a recent interview with UK’s Magic Radio—I got a little excited.
Matthew Perry has been pretty optimistic about a friends reboot and he’s just not sure if the writers would do it saying:
“People talk about that all the time but I don’t think that’s going to happen, because we ended on such a high note that I don’t want to risk doing something bad and ruining, tarnishing the image of it. [However,] I would say 45 percent that it could happen — I think the actors would do it, I’m not sure that the writers would do it.”
I just like to think that a good writer can always create magic, even in a reboot, you just have to be mindful and think about the audience. I really hope this small 45% chance of this reboot happening, does happen because that show is what pushed me to become a writer, to push myself toward film and it helped me stay strong during some of the hardest times in my life.
