Sharon Osbourne teaches us about depression through her trials!

Depression, it’s a word that people don’t like to talk about in life. But did you know more than half of the people you surround yourself with have had or will have depression at one point or another in their life? It’s a demon on the inside, tearing you to pieces, making you feel like the lowest scum of the earth and the problem is people believe these thoughts including Sharon Osbourne. And now she’s opening up about her ‘mental breakdown,’ which can happen if you’re depressed long enough without help or somebody to talk too about your thoughts and feelings.

But presently she’s opening up about the details about her battles, seeking treatment at a facility for her health issues and serious depression and the strength you need to keep fighting. Sharon Osbourne is teaching us a lot about life and how to stay strong even if it seems impossible right now, these feelings, they’re temporary and losing people them, letting our family, friends and even people we don’t know take their lives is selfish on our part, we should always recognize the signs and be a listening ear.

Sharon opened up more about her issues when she spoke with Natalie Morales on “Access Hollywood.” She said:

“I had given up. I just couldn’t deal. At a very low point in my life, I was very frightened about what was going on with me mentally and the thoughts that were going into my head constantly.” She told Morales and attempted to explain her thought process at the time. “These thoughts coming into my head and pictures and people’s faces and I couldn’t control my head, but I couldn’t verbalize it. I just didn’t have the strength to even say I need help, help me because I just couldn’t talk I was just flat, gone.” But she didn’t forget to remind people what to do if you think you have been born with depression or even feel it coming on, she continued. “I think if you are born with [depression] you have it all your life, and it’s an ongoing battle, so it’s an ongoing thing of realizing how blessed you are and what you got to be happy about in the day and I have so much.”

These comparisons sound familiar and many of us can relate. It’s never easy especially when you’re going through hard times with the man/woman you love. The gorgeous TV star even opened up about her thoughts on her relationship with her love. She said:

“We are working it out. I can’t imagine my life without him, and he can’t imagine his life without me, and everything that goes in between. I don’t know what else could happen in our lives that can try and separate us but things happen and we come right back together again.”

Don’t you think it’s great to hear that she’s healing? And she’s doing an absolutely amazing thing opening up about her mental health because there are so many people in the world who secretly struggle and sometimes it becomes too late—asking for help can be so hard to do in life. We have an ‘image,’ to maintain and a lot of people think that asking for help is a sign of weakness, when in fact, it’s not a weakness. Asking for help (in my opinion) is humbling and it can teach you a lot about yourself and how to help others later in life.

It also gives you a second chance and shows you who your true friends are in life. Going through trials is meant to teach us [something] and I think that “something,” has to do with you. If you can better your life by facing a trial and staying strong then it was worth it, don’t you think?

Let us know what you think about Sharon opening up about her mental health. Don’t you think her talking will help inspire many others to talk and maybe even help someone get through the battle of depression or at least seek a listening ear. The things we do in this life, they make a difference whether we notice them right away or not, they do make a difference in the lives of other people.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Sharon, we know it’s not always easy but we also know you’ll be helping so many people.

Blessed be.
