Jennifer Aniston slams negative Hollywood tabloids!
Jennifer Aniston isn’t going to put up with negative Hollywood tabloids. She recently voiced her opinion on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” She said:
“I was pretty raw at the time. I had just come back from a vacation. My mother had just passed,” she said. “We were mobbed [at the airport], like a scary kind of mob. I didn’t know what was happening.”
“It turns out, another wonderful photograph, which I have just learned to live with the last 10 to 15 years, a picture of me with a bump and a circle around my stomach, with an arrow pointing to it,” she described. “In this disgustingly objectifying way. And I was just fed up with it. And I think these tabloids, all of us, need to take responsibility about what we ingest into our brains […]”
It’s no secret that certain tabloids love to push down talent and creatives for the sake of a clicks and money. Sadly, it’s becoming more common but Jennifer Aniston isn’t going to put up with the lies—speaking out is the first step to ending the assumptions. She said:
“We as women do a lot of incredible things in this world other than procreate,” Aniston said as the audience applauded. “We just get boxed in. They love the narrative, they love the story […] whatever the horrible headline is, we just gotta break out of that. And women, I have to say are many of the authors of these horrible articles that are written in these B.S. tabloids, so we have to stop listening to them, and we have to stop buying them.”
“We have to support each other, especially at this time, to love each other, to support and to be proud of women. Whatever your choice is in life. It’s up to us. What makes us happy and fulfilled,” she concluded.
Don’t you think she’s on-point? I mean, so many talent and creatives are facing the same problem with tabloids. And you really do have to break out of the headlines and prove them wrong.
