Selena Gomez: ‘Back To You’ video uses a vintage style, sharing her heart through art!
Back To You by Selena Gomez is storytelling straight from the heart.
Well, if you don’t know Selena Gomez just dropped her new video for “Back To You.”
Fitting in perfectly with Pride month as it shows a lot of rainbow colors, which is awesome! And it’s quite the unique video, throwing back to a vintage style of film and we’re loving it.
There has been some speculation about Selena Gomez’s hot of a co-star is meant to hint at her feelings toward Justin Bieber. One of the notable scenes within the video where she states “let’s go somewhere,” Gomez begins naming places to travel but one she did not leave out “Canada.”
It’s not a huge stretch to say the video may about her feelings for Justin Bieber and their “unfinished business,” as one of the lyrics seems to hint at everyone knowing each aspect of their relationship (which seems to be the case with most talent) but that’s the point of art. You can sing, write and film the deepest parts of your heart. And all the audience can do is assume what the plot actually reveals.
And just as an additional piece of information there have also been rumors that this was “stolen,” let me remind those of you reading, inspiration comes by watching others work, copyright is literal copying someone’s work, lyrics, video, that is not the case here, have faith in Sel and keep the positive vibes coming because negativity will come with any talent’s work.
Great job Selena, you have once again, blown us away with your unique talent, art, and storytelling.
